Blue Shield of California goes live with outpatient pricing engine developed by XYKA.

Blue Shield of California went live with the Outpatient pricing engine that was
designed and developed by XYKA. This facility pricing engine allows the ability
to price APG and APC claims. Significant features like pricing by fee
schedules, case rates, percent charges, complex customized contracts were
provided. It was built to handle carve-outs, special cases, maximum payment
level.
The system comprised of a user-friendly interface that wrapped a very advanced
pricing engine and database in the backend using technologies like visual basic
6.0 and oracle 9i. More than 800 users spread across various geographical
regions would be using this application. This solution will reap significant
savings to Blue Shield both in terms of accurate claim amounts and employee
productivity
